先週末もまた3連休でしたが､皆様はいかがお過ごしでしたでしょう
か｡比較的お天気にも恵まれたので､どこかに出かけられた方も多い
のではないでしょうか｡私は､夫と日帰りﾊﾞｽﾂｱｰで栃木県にりん
ご狩りに行ってきました｡集合時間が早朝だったため､朝の準備に時
間がかかる私は気合を入れて4時に起きました｡早起きは得意なので
あまり苦にもなりませんでしたが･･･ りんご狩りは初めてだった
ということもあり楽しかったです｡りんごの木も色々と種類があるん
ですね｡良い勉強をしました｡1人2個まで採ってもよかったので､私
と主人で4個のりんごを採りました｡今はもっぱら私がお弁当に入れ
て食べ続けています｡
では､今後も共に頑張りましょう｡(*^_^*)

Dear Readers
I turned on the TV this morning to see that Hideki Matsui and
the New York Yankees lost in the ALCS to the Cleveland Indians.
I know that most of Japan has adopted the Yankees as their
favourite Major League Baseball (MLB) club, but to be honest
I (and probably most North American sports fans who do not live
in New York) love to see the Yankees lose. The ownership is by
far the richest in baseball and with that money can buy any
talent they chose. I have always been a Toronto Blue Jays fan
but unfortunately they play in the same division as the Yankees
and the also very rich Boston Red Sox, so unless MLB establishes
some sort of league parity, I know my club will never be able
to finish higher than third in the division.
At LCS, tomorrow evening Colin Barey will be holding the second
part of his October English seminar. This week he will be
focusing on handling telephone calls in English. If you are
interested in participating, there is still space available,
so please contact us. Finally, there are a couple of new
short term positions on the eigo-shigoto.com web-site, so
have a look if you are looking for something temporary.

I received a postcard from my mom on Saturday. She is
on-assignment in Quebec City (eastern Canada) for a month
and she does not have a phone or internet access where she
is so it was nice to hear that she is doing well. After
she finishes up in Quebec she will be coming to Tokyo for
a couple of weeks. I rarely get the chance to visit my
parents in Canada, so it will be nice to see her next month.
